In person across Auckland. Online throughout New Zealand.

A safe place to slow down and be heard.

You don't need the right words to reach out. Whatever's brought you here, you'll be met with warmth, curiosity and care, without judgement and without pressure.

What this looks like

We begin where you are.

The relationship comes first. We move at whatever pace feels right for you, not a plan drawn up in advance. Where it helps, we might use simple, practical strategies. Mostly, the work is being properly listened to, without judgement, for as long as that takes.

With children and teenagers, that often means meeting them where they are, rather than where a script says they should be. With families, it means making room for everyone's side of the story. There's no single way to do this well, so we shape it around you.

Not sure which of these fits? That's alright. Reaching out is enough of a first step.

Meet your counsellor

Sukriti Sabharwal

I hold a Master of Psychology and a Master of Social Work, along with specialist qualifications in child guidance and counselling, and I'm a registered member of the New Zealand Association of Counsellors.

For more than ten years I've supported children, teenagers, adults and families in schools, community services and private practice. Every experience has reinforced the same belief: people heal best when they feel genuinely heard.

More than anything, I want our work together to feel like a space where you're understood, respected and never judged.

What happens next

Three steps, nothing more.

  1. Send a message

Use the contact form, or email if you'd rather — there's no online booking system and no calendar to wrestle with. Just a first note about what's bringing you here.

  2. I reply personally

Usually within one to two business days. We find a time that works, either in person across West Auckland or online, wherever you are in New Zealand.

  3. Your first session

A chance to talk, ask questions, and decide together whether it feels like a good fit — there's no obligation to continue.

Cost & funding

Cost shouldn't be the reason you don't reach out.

If you're not sure which option applies to you, just ask. We can work through it together.

Common questions

A few things people usually ask.

How do I know if counselling is right for me?

There's no single right time or right reason. If something feels heavy, confusing or hard to carry alone, that's usually enough.

Do you offer online sessions?

Yes. Sessions run online throughout New Zealand, alongside in-person sessions in Auckland.

Is what I say confidential?

Yes, with the standard safety exceptions I'll explain clearly in your first session. Nothing happens behind your back.

In the room

A quiet room, an open notebook, and enough time to talk without being rushed.

Whenever you're ready.

There's no wrong time to send that first message.
